Short autobiography:

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist working at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. I work with patients suffering from various medical and asthetic conditions. One big part of my work involves the psychological treatment of burn patients, who suffer from trauma and scars. For burn patients appearance is a very important issue. Within this field I did some research on the meaning of the appearance of skin. As chairperson of the PAM Committee of the European Burns Association I also work on care for burn patients on a European basis. At the moment I work on the definition of guidelines for the psychological support for burn victims
