My research focus is about perfectionism and eating disorder symptoms in adolescents and patients with an eating disorder. In this work, I examine moderating and mediating variables (e.g., attachment, thin ideal, need frustration, parenting) that may enhance our understanding of why or for whom perfectionism is related to eating pathology Besides doing research, I work as clinical psychologists at a clinical treatment centre in which I treat adolescents with eating disorders.
Reason for joining:
To enhance my knowledge on vulnerability factors of body dissatisfaction for prevention and intervention in educational settings. To exchange research ideas, to build op research collaborations with other Action members and to agree upon research protocols. This might lead to more systematic research and the development of prevention and treatment models.
