I am a psychologist and a senior research fellow at The Centre of Appearance Research, University West of England. One of my main research interests are in cleft lip and palate, but I also specializes in working in health care settings with chronic conditions that is associated with disfigurement, body image in relation to psychosocial and public health aspects, and working with social disadvantaged groups. I have worked in over 30 national and international projects with a particularly focus upon psychosocial, health and educational issues, which has given me considerable experience in coordinating and managing projects. I have a Ph.D. in Medicine, Masters Degrees in Public Health and Psychology and my research has been published in academic peer-review journals and presented at international conferences. For the last 10 years, I have facilitated a variety of workshops and symposiums for professionals, students and users in my areas of specialties in Europe, the United States, Asia and Australia.
