Short autobiography:

My research focus is about public health, predominantly in epidemiology of ageing, cardiovascular diseases, non-communicable diseases and appearance/body image for the specific population: university students and elderly population with disfigurement and pain. I address these physical aspects in relation to public health in medical and educational settings.

Reason for joining: To enhance the Healthy Universities network that can utilise the same or partly the same protocol and questionnaires. This will increase to the health promoting potential of universities using the settings-based approach to health promotion that can potentially develop into model health-promoting. Another important focus is to create partnerships for funding/grant projects.
Current research interest in relation to the COST Action: Appearance aspect in relation to: a) chronic pain issues in young adults (university students) in educational settings, b) obesity-related dietary behaviours in elderly subjects in Primary Health Care.
