Szymon Wójcik is a sociologist. He graduated from Warsaw University where he is also a PhD student at the Institute of Applied Social Sciences. He currently works as researcher at Nobody’s Children Foundation where he is engaged in various studies concerning children and youth that were conducted by this organization. He also collaborates with Polish Safer Internet Centre.
Reason for joining:
Interest in meeting and learning from researchers from abroad especially with regard to new methodological approaches.
Current research interest in relation to the COST Action:
I am interested in how children and youth interact on the internet. Social construction of self online is one of major topics and it relates highly to the problem of dissatisfaction with appearance which is axial theme of current COST Action.
